About Us

Mission Statement

As a group of international psychotherapists who are based in the Czech Republic our mission is to reach out and connect with the global community. A community which we believe has not only many colourful cultures, histories and languages, but many individual needs, many unique stories that need a space to be expressed.

We aim to offer just that, a space where you can find a psychotherapist who can speak freely in your language, and is either a native from the UK, USA, Germany and The Czech Republic, or who has spent time living outside their own native country. We understand that moving abroad and starting over in a new or old country can be a big adventure, but can also bring many unknowns. As a result we believe that the value of having a psychotherapist with whom we can share a common cultural framework has the possibility to make a difference in psychotherapy.

Meet Our Therapists

Who Are We?

We are all qualified registered professionals working in various branches of psychotherapy, who are all members of professional organisations either here in the Czech Republic, or in our respective countries of origin. We all adhere to the guidelines of ČAP, and EAP the European Association of Psychotherapy.

Our therapists are either native mother tongue speakers or have lived long enough in another country (minimum 5 years), plus training and experience in the specific country in order to have a common cultural connection.

Languages offered in native tongue English, German, Czech. Plus French and Italian as a second language.

For more information take a look through our list of psychotherapists:

- Andrea Nundy-Mala (English)

- Katja Křížková (English & Czech)

- Beate Albrich (German, English & Czech)

What Do We Offer?

In the current reality of the Coronavirus pandemic & restrictions placed on us we recognise the need to reach out & offer our professional support to those who are feeling isolated & worried.

A Compassionate Perspective

We work with people, not disorders. A diagnosis does not refer to a person. We view all psychological sensitivities as human, which can exist on some level in everyone at different times throughout life’s journey.

Convenient Online Support

We are able to provide online therapy through Skype, and Zoom and other video interfaces. We can connect to you wherever you are in the world. We are located in Prague, therefore face to face therapy is also possible after COVID restrictions are lifted.

Quality Expertise

All psychotherapists are members of European associations of psychotherapy, and have fulfilled the education and experience requirements needed to become psychotherapists. Each follow the ethical guidelines of their respective associations and comply with Continuing Professional Development (CPD), whereby they engage in learning activities in order to develop and enhance their professional abilities.

The level of expertise in the group is high and wide ranging in various stands of verbal and non verbal psychotherapy. Many of the psychotherapists are trainers themselves.

How Does It Work?

The impact of significant changes to our regular way of life will have an influence on our well being, both physically and psychologically. The terms such as lockdown, restrictions, and quarantine which we are hearing, moreover experiencing daily, can trigger a number of responses.

If you are experiencing:

- Increased Anxiety

- Depression

- Feelings of isolation or loneliness

- Sense of chaos or disorganisation

You can contact a psychotherapist directly through their contact email who will reply with a time for an appointment.

What we do not offer:

We understand that many people are in extreme situations, with more extreme, or overwhelming feelings. We are however not a Crisis Intervention team. We do not deal with immediate crises, there are plenty of expert crisis lines you can contact for this.
